Fun day with the Granddaughters

We went to Columibian Park in Lafayette yesterday. Our daughters remember that park with fond memories. It was fun to take the grandgirls there. They rode the train, went to the zoo, played on the playground and rode a couple of rides.

Off we went to Chuck e Cheese for supper. It was expensive, but worth it.

They had a ball. I do so wish we would have had the amount of time with our grandsons as we do the girls. They lived so far away. It is so much fun being a grandma! I love it.

My vacation has been a resting one, but at the same time a joyful one.

How can it get any better than going fishing, catching a fish, playing with your grandchildren, and laying around. We are going to take our grandson to see a movie tomorrow evening and he is going to be spending the weekend with us. We have not had a lot of time with him either. So it will be fun to get to know him better.

Better go get supper ready.

Enjoying the much needed rest!

I have went fishing this week. Caught some fish and brought them home and cleaned them. Fried them up for supper. OOOOhhhh they were so good!!!!

A Great Evening

I had such a nice evening with our daughter Stacey and her daughters, our grandaughters. The youngest, Katie graduated from preschool. She was dressed in a cap and gown of blue. She was much more comfortable in front of the crowd this time. At the Christmas program, she was so afraid and shy. Tonight she was singing some and doing the signs to, "This Little Light of Mine."

I love it when the girls tell me that they are going to keep me forever. You know that is what our Heavenly Father says He is going to do (seal and redeem) for us when we ask Him into our hearts. It is eternal salvation. Not a 100 days, 1000 years, but forever.

Played a bunches on blog today!!!

Well I have changed the layout, pics, etc., today. Learned a lot. Maybe now that I have a little more knowledge I will be able to spruce up the layout even more.

Thank you to Shirley for getting me interested.

With my very busy life, I don't get a chance to set down and really mess with it much. Today I decided I was going to dig in deep to it.

Well better get going, my outlook popped up and said that Shirley posted a comment.

Praise Jesus for another day!!!!

This is the day that the Lord has made.

I am so thankful for another day to serve the Lord. It has been a very busy day in the office. A sweet lady named, Shirley, gave me a bunch of Dove candy and it was, "Oh soooo Good....."

I had such a wonderful Mother's Day. I know that I am priviledge to have my mom still with me. We took her to eat at a nearby resturant on Friday evening. She was able to spend Mother's Day with my brother. She enjoyed herself there for the day.

Gloria and Stacey and the granddaughters were here for the day. They fixed a great meal for us. Gloria, Stacey and me gathered around the computer in the evening and looked at videos and facebook.  It was really "making memories" as my mom would say.

It is supper time and I am going to go fix our meal now.

The Lord bestowed on me a day filled with His almighty love and grace. Thank you my Lord and King!!!
